This seafood-and-entertainment-Mecca sits just 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach on the tidal marshes and creeks that have beckoned seafood lovers for centuries.

Our Story

Opened in 2002 on The Marshwalk (featured on the Travel Channel and Southern Living magazine), the Dead Dog Saloon is a full-service family-friendly restaurant during lunch and dinner hours, and with three bars, plenty of large-screen TVs.


Situated on the tranquil Murrells Inlet waterfront in South Carolina, the Dead Dog Saloon is a historic gem and a local favorite. Renowned for its comprehensive menu that highlights seafood, the Saloon serves up fresh ocean-to-table offerings, including popular dishes like Shrimp and Grits, Burgers, Tacos, BBQ and a broad selection of beverages from three the full bar.


Adding to its appeal, the Dead Dog Saloon opens its doors for breakfast seven days a week. The establishment's relaxed and fun atmosphere is complemented by captivating inlet views and live music. The saloon is steeped in local folklore, including tales of Dudley, a spectral dog said to haunt the venue.
